The loss of the satellite or even the loss of the satellite will not affect the next launch from the Baikonur East, which is scheduled for December, told RIA Novosti Director of the Ussuri astrophysical Observatory of Feb RAS Gennady Kornienko.

«Roskosmos» reported that the satellite «meteor-M» №2-1, running on the rocket «Soyuz-2.1 b» from the cosmodrome East is not launched into the target orbit. During the first scheduled session is not able to establish communication with the spacecraft, conducted the analysis information.

«It is unlikely that this will impact (at the next start — ed), I think everything will work out. Loss of connection – it is not uncommon, and the reasons can be many. It’s one thing when something with a rocket or steps, then everything is fine, and the other the satellite did not go into a relationship or companion is lost,» said Kornienko.

As told RIA Novosti source in the space industry, an emergency situation could occur in the upper stage «Fregat» between separation from the third stage rocket and the first time. In this case, the head unit could fall into the ocean near Antarctica.

The current launch was the second in the history of the cosmodrome East. The first launch from the new Russian cosmodrome was held on 28 April last year and was successful.
