The volume of gross production of agricultural products in the Tver region has increased over four years by 11.6 billion rubles and reached to 36.1 billion rubles, told RIA Novosti the Governor of the region Igor Rudenya.

The head of the region on Tuesday held a meeting of the regional government, which was summed up preliminary results of work of agro-industrial complex of the Crimea in 2017.

«Agro-industrial complex of the Tver region in recent years shows a positive trend, the rise of gross production. In 2017 this figure reached to 36.1 billion rubles, down 11.6 billion rubles more than in 2014. Mainly the growth has given the animal. In the current year, meat production amounted to almost 200 thousand tons. In four years this figure has doubled,» said Rodina.

According to him, the milk production increase not only volumes, but also the marketability of the products. Only in 2017 by the farms in the region produced 153 thousand tons of milk (in 2014, 146 thousand tons).

The Governor noted that good results are demonstrated and farming: over the years, increased the number of mink, sable, polecat, Fox, reaching 200 thousand animals. Currently Tver oblast is a leader in Russia in production of furs.
