Helicopters on Wednesday morning began to search for the separated parts of the rocket «Soyuz-2.1 b» that fell in two districts of Yakutia, told RIA Novosti the representative of the Ministry of natural resources of the region.

Earlier, a rocket «Soyuz-2.1 b» with hydro meteorological satellite «meteor-M» №2-1, the student’s device «Baumanets-2» and 17 foreign nano-satellites launched from the Baikonur East in the Amur region. The separated parts of the rocket fell into the two areas of the Amur region and two in Yakutia.

On Tuesday, in the Viluy and Aldan regions of Yakutia were sent drones also used by radars.

«Today, in search of fragments sent helicopters. The search, collection and removal of fragments should be completed by 4 December. They can be complicated by the fact that now in these areas are already deep snow. Conducted snow sampling and soil samples will be selected daily. Later they will analyze in the Republican information-analytical centre for environmental monitoring», — said the source.

He noted that in the field camp to areas of falling of fragments are specialists of the Russian space Agency, ministries of nature protection and healthcare of the Republic, rescuers state budgetary institution «Yakut base of aviation protection of forests», the administration of the Vilyui, the Aldan area. Communications with the field camp is bad.

Roscosmos earlier reported that the satellite «meteor-M» №2-1, running on the rocket «Soyuz-2.1 b» from the Vostochny cosmodrome that is not launched into the target orbit. As told RIA Novosti source in the space industry, an emergency situation could occur in the upper stage «Fregat» between separation from the third stage rocket and the first time. In this case, the head unit could fall into the ocean near Antarctica.
