Moscow investigators have completed a criminal investigation into the death of a patient of a private clinic from the injection of lidocaine, appear before the court, the General Director of the institution making the injection the doctor is wanted, the senior assistant administrator of GSU SK of Russia across Moscow Julia Ivanova.

According to investigators, on the morning of 27 December 2016 36-year-old woman sought medical help in one of the organizations that did not have licenses to provide emergency medical care. An employee of the company, having arrived to a call at an apartment house on the street Kulakova, made the woman an injection of lidocaine. Later, the victim became ill and, despite help, she soon died.

«In the course of investigation of criminal case the consequence collected proofs of fault of the General Director, who organized the provision of medical services to the residents of the capital who did not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of patients,» — said Ivanov told reporters.

She said that the results of a forensic medical examination showed that the woman’s death occurred due to exceeding the maximum concentration of lidocaine in the body. According to her, the doctor performing the injection, then disappeared and was declared wanted. The criminal case against the doctor is allocated in separate manufacture.

«The accused and his counsel in accordance with the requirements of article 217 of the criminal procedure code of the Russian Federation got acquainted with criminal case materials. In the near future criminal case will be sent for approval of the indictment and subsequent transfer to the court», — said Ivanov.
