Dmitry Medvedev in his annual interview with the Russian TV channels has declared it has no plans to run for the upcoming presidential elections.

«In the current political season, I themselves as such do not see. But, of course, I will continue,» — said the Prime Minister.

The head of government promised that the list of candidates will be announced in the near future. He also noted that United Russia will undoubtedly support Putin, if the President decides to run in the upcoming elections.

Medvedev occupied the presidency in 2008-2012.

The next presidential elections will be held in March 2018, the campaign will start in December.

At the moment about plans to run said LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, journalist Catherine Gordon, head of the Association of entrepreneurs for development of business of patriotism «Avanti» Rahman Yanakov, the leader of the party «Female dialogue» Elena Semerikova and the Chairman of the Party of growth Boris Titov. Party «the Apple» plans to nominate Grigory Yavlinsky. From the Communist party probably will go to the polls, Gennady Zyuganov, however, the final decision of the party Congress.
