Russia can not procrastinate, I have to swing by accelerating the train of the global technological revolution, the head of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev.

«We can not linger, you need to drop in the ongoing and accelerating the train, because this train should be fair to say, gained momentum first, without us. We have long been in a situation when they were forced simply to survive, it was in 90-e years. In 80-e years, this is all a special attention was paid,» — said Medvedev on Thursday in an interview with Russian television.

According to him, Russia is only now beginning to create the basis of their technological development, and it is all there. «There are institutions that have money, not fantastic, but still it is pretty decent for the money, which accumulated in the various funds of support, there are tools that have already been tested, and most importantly, there are people, talented people we are many,» — said Medvedev.

However, he lamented that while Russia does not have the ability to quickly transform technological innovations into working and commercially successful projects. «We get it all so not a very good situation. Not really, we can do it», — he said.

«In this sense, we really can’t boast of some great past, but nevertheless, this, too, can learn,» — said Medvedev.

He noted that there are countries that are very good at it is to commercialize scientific achievements, and to create something new much harder.

«Of course, you need to learn this commercialization. This needs to be addressed and state efforts, and the efforts of the business. Business needs to invest in research and development, should be invested in research in the field of IT in modern technology. To me 10 years ago had, in fact, stick a large company to drive them to some investment planned. Because revenues are huge, and they are there for research and development some tears,» — said the head of government.

«It is the task of exceptional importance. But I am sure that the chances to stand on a par with the most advanced countries we have,» he added.
