The Deputy Shaikhutdinov will not run for President

The Chairman of the party «Civic platform», the Deputy of the state Duma of the Russian Federation Rifat Shaikhutdinov told RIA Novosti that he would not run for presidential elections in 2018, at the party Congress on December 25, will be discussed to support the candidacy of Vladimir Putin.

Regular elections of the President of Russia will be held in March 2018, the campaign is supposed to start in December 2017. Last week Putin announced his intention to run in the upcoming elections.

«I personally will not stand as a candidate in presidents of the Russian Federation, because I do not want to participate in the political clowning, which is organized by their actions, Boris Titov, Grigory Yavlinsky, Ksenia Sobchak, Alexei Navalny. I am against the creation of political fictions «technical candidates», allegedly using the candidate’s status to promote their political views, or even of programs that do not have in fact any political content,» — said Shaikhutdinov on Monday.

«No need to deceive the people, the voters. I’m not going to be a sparring partner of Vladimir Putin, who doesn’t need it and about it nobody asked. I honestly and openly support it as the only real contender for the post of President of Russia», — said the Deputy.

According to him, December 25 will take place the Congress «the Civil platform, to discuss support of nomination of Putin.» «I’m sure the party will support my position,» — said Shaikhutdinov.

To date, we also know about the plans to participate in the electoral campaign of the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, one of the founders of the party «Yabloko» Grigory Yavlinsky. Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that he, as leader of the Communist party, was nominated as the presidential candidate of all party organizations, but the final decision of the Congress.
