The earthquake of a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in the East of Iran, according to the European Mediterranean seismological centre (EMSC).

Aftershocks recorded Tuesday at 08.43 UTC (11.43 GMT) in the East of the country. The earthquake lies at a depth of 40 kilometers.

At the same time, the Iranian seismological center reported the earthquake of magnitude 6.2 in the vicinity of the village Hojack in Kerman province, much of which lies in the desert. The earthquake lies at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Data on destructions and victims did not arrive yet.

On Monday, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred on the border of Iran and Iraq.

In mid-November in Kermanshah province, on the border of Iran and Iraq, an earthquake occurred with magnitude of 7.2. Tremors were felt in other countries of the region, including Kuwait, the UAE and Israel. According to the latest data, the number of victims of earthquake has reached 620.
