Artistic Director of the TRANS-Siberian art festival Vadim Repin has announced the programme of the Fifth anniversary of the festival, which will take place from March 9 to may 13, 2018 in the Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Samara, said the press service of the forum.

Novosibirsk TRANS-Siberian Fifth concerts of the festival will be held from 9 March to 2 April 2018. Full programme including concerts in other cities, will run until may 13. A feature of the Fifth TRANS-Siberian art festival Repin called an unprecedented number of world premieres.

The first will be performed in the framework of the program «Made in Siberia», where the native of Novosibirsk, concertmaster of the orchestra of the Bavarian radio Anton Barakhovsky will perform the Concert for violin with orchestra of the Novosibirsk composer Andrey Molchanov.

Traditional program «children to Children» this time will present the premiere of a composition by Swiss composer Daniel Schnyder. Also at the final concert of the Festival will feature new work by Sofia Gubaidulina. Each of these works created on the initiative of the TRANS-Siberian art festival.

Among the participants of the fifth forum of musical conductors Kent Nagano, Leo, Coachman, Elijah King, Andres Mustonen and the debutant of the festival Jean-Claude Casadesus. In orchestral and chamber music programs will perform Clara-Jumi Kang, Gidon Kremer, Leah Joo — violin, Alexander Ramm, Pablo Fernandez — cello, Maxim Rysanov – viola, Yukio Yokoyama, Konstantin Lifschitz, Andrei Korobeinikov – piano. Their new program will introduce himself Repin.

«My last solo concert in Novosibirsk was over 30 years ago, I think in 1986, before the Queen Elisabeth competition. And I even forgot about it, and reminded me of that mom. She’s this year’s anniversary: she’s turning 70 years old, and I decided to make her this gift,» explained the musician.

Within the music forum will host a screening of the documentary about Mstislav Rostropovich, filmed by French Director Bruno Monsaingeon to the tenth anniversary of the death of the great musician. Also at the festival will be an exhibition of artist Maria Kononova. And on the stage of the Novosibirsk Opera theatre (NOVATUS) the TRANS-Siberian art-festival will present a special project: the Bolshoi ballet performance «Lady with camellias» directed by John Neumeier.
