Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro participating in the summit of the Organization of Islamic cooperation in Turkey, believes that Washington’s decision on Jerusalem increases tension in the middle East.

The President of the United States Donald trump in early December, made a statement recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of the us Embassy there. The decision was met negatively by many countries, primarily Palestine and the Arab States. The Palestinians held a mass protest.

«At this meeting we will discuss the delicate situation in Palestine after the U.S. recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, something that increases the tension and violating international agreements,» wrote Maduro in his account in Instagram.
