The Commission on monumental art at Moscow city Duma on Thursday will discuss the installation in Moscow of a monument to ex-Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov, the agenda for the meeting.

According to the agenda published on the website of the Moscow city Duma, members of the Commission Thursday to discuss the proposal of the erection of the commemorative monument to the Russian politician Yevgeny Primakov. As specified in the materials, the monument is supposed to transfer in gift to a city.

In may, the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov made a proposal to erect a monument Primakov on Smolensk square near the building of the foreign Ministry.

Orientalist by education, Primakov in different years headed the Institute of Oriental studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences, was Director of the academic Institute of world economy and international relations. From January 1996 to September 1998 Primakov was Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia. For several years in this position, he traveled almost the whole world. In foreign policy, Primakov became the author of the strategy of «multipolarity». Primakov has died on 86-m to year of life June 26, 2015.

On Thursday, the commissioners also plan to discuss the initiative for the erection of monuments to the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva, writer and journalist Vladimir Gilyarovsky and the Russian businessman Sergei Tretyakov.

Will also be raised for the consideration of proposals for the construction of the sculpture «Mother and child» and the memorable signs (STEL) «Forgotten shrines» on the ground, lost temples, both a sculptural object it is planned to transfer in gift to a city.
