Hyperlinks to the materials of the organizations recognized in Russia is undesirable, can lead to blocking of the Internet resource, it is stated in the explanations, published on the Agency’s website.

As explained by the Department, by posting a hyperlink to any material third-party resource, the media knows about the content of material accessible on this hyperlink. «Therefore, placing a hyperlink on a potentially illegal online content, the media contributes to its spread», — stated in the message.

Currently, Russia recognized unwanted 11 organizations, including those registered in Britain Fund Otkrytaya Rossia (Open Russia). On Tuesday, the state office of public Prosecutor has demanded from Roskomnadzor, to restrict access to these information resources, and then Roskomnadzor announced that he had introduced the listed sites in the «appropriate register with the aim of blocking operators».

«The presence of the Internet site zines hyperlinks to material (text, video, audio, image, and so on) with illegal content is regarded by Roskomnadzor as a way to spread this content if this hyperlink is an integral part of the context», — noted in the Department.
