The Supreme court of Ingushetia was increased by in October the sentence to five members of the so-called «sleeper cell» of banned international terrorist organization «Islamic state»* (IG*), arguing it was too lenient, reports the website of the court.

Earlier it was reported that members of bandit group Umar Gagiev, move Sapraliev, Hassan Sapraliev, Gabriel Gagiev, Amirkhan Sapraliev were convicted of participation in illegal armed groups, trafficking of weapons, explosives and explosive devices. Direct leadership of a criminal group was carried out by Umar Gagiev, Amirkhan Sapraliev was a police officer. They had a lot of firearms, ammunition and explosive devices which in the course of the investigation it was seized and impounded in specially equipped caches and places of residence of suspects. The Nazran district court sentenced Umar Gagieva to 9 years of a colony of strictly mode, Amirkhan Sapralieva to 4 years in a General regime colony, MOVLW Sapralieva to 3 years and 6 months in a General regime colony, Gabriel Gagieva to 3 years General regime colony, Hassan Sapralieva to 2 years and 6 months in a General regime colony.

«After checking the case file, after listening to the views of the parties, having discussed arguments of the appeal complaint, representation and the written objections, the court of appeal found irregularities in the application of norms of the criminal law, namely the appointment by the court of first instance was too lenient punishment not appropriate to the severity of the crime», — is spoken in the message.

The Supreme court of Ingushetia changed the sentence in the Nazran regional court, increasing the sentence the four defendants to seven years of imprisonment in colony of General regime and the penalty to the leader of the group, Omar Gagieva left unchanged for nine years in a strict regime colony. All inmates must also pay a fine of 100 thousand rubles each.
