Meeting devoted to memory of victims of Russian journalists, will be held on Friday at Moscow’s Central House of journalists. By long tradition the memory of the dead will come to honor their colleagues, friends and family members, as well as representatives of international organizations.

Will open the event at 12.00 GMT Solovyov and honorary Chairman of the organization Vsevolod Bogdanov. Then the entire hall will honor the memory of colleagues with a minute of silence. After that, the members of the family and other distinguished guests from all over the country: from Moscow, Grozny, Makhachkala, Tyumen, Tolyatti, Yekaterinburg, Sredneural’sk, Dubna, Krasnodar, Yoshkar-Ola, Tula, and other cities, as well as representatives of UN, OSCE, UNESCO.

The first time the family and colleagues of the dead journalists gathered December 11, 1991, to honor the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom of speech. It happened after in September 1991, in Yugoslavia killed a Russian TV correspondent Viktor Nogin and cameraman Gennady Kurennoy. The investigation revealed that the car the journalists were fired upon by Serb rebels. In recent years, in Russia day of memory of the journalists celebrated on the 15th of December.
