The Federation Council will be invited to presidential elections on March 18 observers from foreign States and international structures, their representation will be the record, said the speaker of the upper house of the Russian Parliament Valentina Matvienko.

«The Federation Council has the right by law to invite foreign observers, we have the right to use. We will discuss and adopt a decision on the invitation of observers from foreign States and international parliamentary structures. The more observers, the more objective the assessment will be given the presidential campaign,» — said Matvienko reporters.

«I am sure that, as interest in the election of the President is very large, the number of observers will be a record, this is my forecast,» she added.
