The foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. house of representatives endorsed on Thursday a bill providing for cooperation with Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity, said in a statement on the website of the Committee.

The bill was introduced by Democrat Brendan Boyle. It involves the provision of support to Ukraine in strengthening computer networks, protecting critical infrastructure, and help in «reducing dependence on information and communication technologies from Russia».

In addition, the planned exchange of information and cooperation with Kiev on a bilateral basis and through international organizations in the field of cybersecurity. The bill suggests to oblige the Secretary of state to report to Congress on progress of work with Ukraine in this area.

So the bill became law, he needs to pass a vote in the full house of representatives and a similar process on the Senate, also requires the signature of the President of the United States.
