The first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on defense Andrei Krasov («United Russia») called unexpected information that in the Central part of Finland Institute for exploration can do surveillance of the Russian Armed forces.

The newspaper Helsingin Sanomat in the Saturday issue published an article called «the Secret place of Finland» about the Institute of intelligence in the town Tikkakoski in Central part of the country, which has allegedly engaged in surveillance of the Russian armed forces on the territory of the former Leningrad military district.

«We need this information to check… do so. Still every time we say we are ready to build good neighborly relations. But what-what, and from our colleagues from Finland, if this information is confirmed, (I do not expect — ed.). To be honest, very unexpected,» said Krasov RIA Novosti.

According to the MP, this case suggests that the tracking of the Russian military installations and troops is not only in the countries that belong to NATO, but in those States that are distant from this block, position themselves as «neutral».

Krasov mentioned that the global missile defense system, which allegedly created in response to the Iranian nuclear issue, continues to be deployed in Poland and Romania, and the military contingents are located in the Baltic countries, Poland, Germany and other countries neighboring Russia.

«It (the Finnish Institute of intelligence — ed.) forces once again to talk about the fact that so many troops are near our borders,» — said the Deputy.

«Russia no one is going to attack. For a long time Russia didn’t pay (attention — ed.) to the development of its armed forces, for their qualitative training. And when we do it (training — ed.),… we say that we do it is in the interests of the state, in the interests of increasing the combat capability of our Armed forces and enhance the security of our state, our citizens,» said Krasov.
