Vladimir Putin in the evening in a telephone conversation thanked the President of the United States Donald trump for providing the CIA with information that helped to track, detect and apprehend terrorists who planned the attack in St. Petersburg.

The telephone conversation was initiated by the Russian side.

«The Russian President thanked his American counterpart for the Central intelligence Agency (CIA) of information which helped to trace, detect and arrest a group of terrorists preparing explosions in the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg, and in other public places of the city», — noted in a press-service of the Kremlin.

Putin asked trump to Express my gratitude to the Director of the CIA and operative American intelligence officers who produced this information.

He assured his American counterpart that «Russian special services upon receipt of information relating to terrorist threats against the US and its citizens, of course, and will immediately transmit to its American colleagues in partner channels.»

The deepening of cooperation in the fight against militants
