The air temperature in Moscow on Sunday was a record warm, these indicators were not recorded in the capital over the 138 years of weather observations, reported RIA Novosti chief specialist of the capital’s weather Bureau Tatyana Pozdnyakova.

She said that previous high on December 17, was recorded in 2006 — then the thermometer rose to 6.4 degrees Celsius.

«Today blocked the previous record, and very much degree. The maximum temperature today will be about eight degrees, that is to say that the previous record of 2006 are blocked,» — said Pozdnyakov.
