The status held by the Houthi rebels Saleh Mudin, the son of the former President of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, has deteriorated significantly, he was tortured, reported RIA Novosti a source in Saleh’s party «General people’s Congress» (GNC).

Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed on 4 December in a shootout with their former allies, Houthi rebels that plagued the former President following a heated conflict between them.

«The condition of the son of Saleh has deteriorated significantly, it applies to the extreme methods of torture – psychological and physical,» — said the source. The Mudin Saleh announced a hunger strike since the arrest on December 4.

«Please intervene and save him, it is a human and moral duty,» the source added.

According to him, Mudin held in the Central prison of the security forces in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. «He is accused is the son of Ali Abdullah Saleh,» said the source.

In Yemen in 2014, the ongoing armed conflict in which one side involved Houthi rebels from the Shiite movement «Ansar Allah», and on the other, government forces and militia loyal to President Abd rabbu Mansour Hadi.
