The American company Lockheed Martin received a contract for 110 million dollars on the development and production of subsonic cruise missiles Gray wolf («Grey wolf»), said in a press release of the Ministry of defense.

According to the Agency, the contract includes the design, development, manufacture and testing of cruise missiles that can be used as a prototype «for the development of network technology for joint operations to defeat integrated air defense systems of the enemy.»

Work on the program Gray wolf heads the Research laboratory of the U.S. air force. «The goal of this work is to conduct research and development for the promotion and development of affordable tactical cruise missiles, used in networking, joint actions designed to help in the destruction of integrated air defense system of the enemy,» — said in a press release.

Under the terms of the contract, the work will be conducted in the U.S. state of Texas and is expected to be completed December 17, 2022.
