Scientific tree, the purpose of which is popularization of science among school students, will be held in the main building of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Sparrow hills in Moscow during the Christmas holidays.

According to the organizers, the Christmas tree Wow! How?, to be held from 22 December to 6 January, will help to generate interest in science in children through their active participation in the research. The event will be attended by young scientists, graduates and postgraduates of the faculties of physics, chemistry, biology, and other departments of leading universities of the country.

At the time of the celebration on stage will be created «Institute Christmas miracles,» which will unfold a huge laboratory, and the experiments it will carry out real scientists, and Santa Claus.

Guests of the Christmas tree waiting for large-scale scenery and fascinating experiments, including experiments with hundreds of liters of liquid nitrogen, lanterns of ice, giant guns and saramati, dancing lightning, and more. In the lobby before the show, guests can try yourself in the role of physicists, chemists, geologists, and even the architects of the future – space of the three floors of the building of the Academy of Sciences will be allocated for workshops, interactive zones and a mini-show.

Also for children will be organized «Kitchen miracles», where they, particularly, learn to draw Christmas patterns on milk and to spend wonderful experiments that can be repeated at home in the kitchen.

The main symbol of the holiday — a Christmas tree — decorate a luminous figures representing mechanics, chemistry, astronomy, physics and other Sciences. Every day visitors will have a raffle. The winners will get scientific sweets and unique books for children and adults.
