Spanish police discovered 1.1 tons of cocaine in the port of Valencia, according to the national police.

The goods were found in two containers of a vessel arriving from Oakland (CA, USA). Most likely, the drugs put on the ship without the knowledge of the owners when it is sent from the port.

This is the fourth successful operation for the last month, during which Spanish police and customs find large quantities of drugs. In Algeciras it was found six tons of cocaine in Barcelona — 331 kilograms of heroin in the port of Valencia on the ship, which also came from USA with stops in Latin America, a week ago found a half ton of cocaine.

In total, law enforcement authorities in Spain discovered in 2017 more than 30 tons of cocaine and 440 pounds of heroin, nearly 20 tons of marijuana.
