Adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on the Ukrainian resolution on the situation of human rights in Crimea does not reflect the real situation to verify this, representatives of co-sponsoring countries just to go there personally, said Wednesday the Chairman of the Commission of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation on development of public diplomacy, cultural cooperation and preservation of traditional values Elena sutormina.

The UN General Assembly adopted on Tuesday, the Ukrainian resolution on the situation of human rights in Crimea. The resolution was voted 70, against — 26, 76 countries abstained. Among those who supported the initiative — the majority of European countries and the USA. In particular, the General Assembly condemned «the current temporary occupation by the Russian Federation of the territory of Ukraine,» reiterating «the non-recognition of its annexation». In the document Russia «urge» to carry out 12 recommendations to «put an immediate end to all violations and abuses of human rights against the inhabitants of Crimea».

«This resolution does not reflect the real situation. Before making such reckless and slanderous against Russia the documents, I would advise people of all the countries that supported it, personally, to go and see, to communicate with citizens, to conduct monitoring on the spot. And the leadership of the organization itself too. Crimea – is absolutely open territory, come, live, see,» — said RIA Novosti sutormina.

According to her, this is the only international organization that brings together the maximum number of States and is designed to work together to world problematic situations, «begins to dance to the tune of a single group of countries.»

«Disgusting, and the fact that instead of having to make decisions on real global issues that threaten disasters of different kinds, to make decisions to protect the rights of people who really need it, the UN Council brings to the agenda a non-issue,» — said social activist.
