The Polish government put the question about the price of Russian gas transit through the country to Germany, said the representative of the government of Poland on strategic energy infrastructure Perth Naimski in an interview with the weekly Gazeta Polska.

«The government and Pavlaka Tusk (former Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk and Waldemar Pawlak — ed.) refused to real money, which belonged to Poland and the company Europol Gaz. Waiver transportation revenues (gas — ed.) and writing off Russian debts of the company Europol Gaz meant straight to deprive us of the money. The contract contained a clause limiting the annual income of the company Europol Gaz to 21 million zlotys (about 5.9 million dollars at the current exchange rate — ed.) that means that the Russians are free of charge transported through Poland to the West of 30 billion cubic meters of gas. It’s weird. It’s hard to just believe,» Naimski said.

According to him, Poland has from the transit of Russian gas any good, but the current government «will try» to change it.

However, he assured that the completion in 2022 long-term contract to supply Russian natural gas to Poland does not mean that after the Polish section of the Yamal pipeline is cut off Russian gas to consumers in Germany. «We just want the transport was based on market principles,» Naimski said.In September, the media reported that the ruling party of Poland «law and justice» intends to convene a Commission of inquiry that will investigate the conclusion of the 2009 contract with Gazprom for gas transit. Earlier edition of wSieci reported that Pawlak has agreed to purchase from Russia billion cubic meters of gas, «in which Poland did not need». In addition, it was alleged that the Polish government did not try to negotiate on the price of gas, and the contract included clause limiting the profit of the Polish company Europol Gaz 20 million zlotys. According to the newspaper, Pawlak agreed to all the conditions of the Russian side.Poland will raise the issue of the cost of transit of Russian gas to Germany© RIA Novosti / Vitaly Podwyzki the pressure Difference
