The entire shareholding of the Crimean state factory of sparkling wines «New world» acquired company «southern project» for 1.5 billion rubles, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

Crimea state Council in September adopted a decision on privatization of the factory «New world», located in the eponymous village near Sudak in the area of 20 hectares. The starting value of the plant — about 1.5 billion rubles.

The competition for the sale took place in Simferopol on Wednesday at the site of the Ministry of property and land relations of Crimea, which organized the auction.

The auction was attended by two candidates: «Voom-box invest» and LLC «southern project». Trading results won by LLC «southern project». Shares of the plant sold for 1.5 billion rubles.

Factory of sparkling wines «Noviy Svet» was founded in 1878 by Prince Lev Golitsyn, the founder of the Crimean and Russian winemaking. The factory was nationalized in 2014, became a state enterprise and then included in the sanctions list of the West.

According to the Crimean Bureau of grapes and wine licenses for commercial production of wines and brandies in the Crimea and Sevastopol have 28 companies. Among the most famous and largest wineries — «Massandra», «Sun valley», «Inkerman», «Novyy Svet», «Zolotaya Balka», Alma Valley, «Koktebel», «legend of the Crimea».
