The Federation of Jewish communities of Russia (FJCR) has signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), one of which was cooperation in the sphere of anti-Semitism and justification of Nazism, told RIA Novosti the President of the FJCR Alexander Beard.

«First of all, our cooperation involves political strengthening of our voice in the global Jewish structures, coordination of actions, for example, the fight against neo-Nazism, collaborationism, for the restoration of historical justice. This is the case when «one plus one equals three»: our voices together to deliver a powerful sound that is impossible to dismiss. Already it is impossible to tell that the minions of the Nazis were supposedly liberators», — said the Beard the purpose of signing the agreement.

In turn, the chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar at the signing of the agreement noted that the task of the FJC and the EAJC is to help people «who are in trouble, feel alone and lack support». In this regard, he assured, the two organizations will help communities in Russia, and «Montenegro and Japan», regardless of their size.

Meanwhile, the head of the EAJC Mikhail Mirilashvili said that the organization has more than 20 years helping the Russian communities. He also gave an assessment of inter-religious relations in the Russian Federation.

«I am grateful to the leadership and people of Russia in a truly unique situation in the field of interfaith and inter-ethnic relations, for the development of Jewish communities, combat anti-Semitism,» said Mirilashvili at the time of signing of the agreement.
