Writer Yuri Polyakov asked the Russian President Vladimir Putin to consider a question on creation of Fund of Russian literature, as, in his opinion, literature «dropped from close-knit family arts».

«Vladimir Vladimirovich, writers are still under the impression of a literary meeting at which you spoke, listened to our discussions and suggestions. We were very encouraged by the idea of creation of Fund of Russian literature. We understand that difficulties have arisen, the economic and so on, but we would like to revisit this idea, because literature is the result of circumstances fell out of the close-knit family arts» — addressed Poles to Putin at the meeting of the Council for culture under the President of the Russian Federation on Thursday.

Polyakov noted that the Fund support literature would help «to unite the talented forces that now completely separated».

«Now publishing literature was the responsibility of the Ministry of communications. Of course, the literature connects us all, but we ask you to return the writing to the Ministry of culture,» said Polyakov.
