None of the media recognized by the decision of justice of the Russian Federation noagenda not challenged this decision in the constitutional court, although the law provides for such a possibility, said RIA Novosti, first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation Lyudmila Bokova.

«Recognition of performing functions of a foreign agent can be challenged in the constitutional court. I know, while none of the media from the official list (of justice) not implemented their right,» said Bokova.

She emphasized that the legislative initiatives in recognition of the media registered as a foreign agent and control measures for enforcing the law in this area «are forced to response to the actions of another, known to all of us of the state against the Russian media operating in its territory».

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the law on the status of a foreign agent to the media. According to the text of the law, registered as a foreign agent can be recognized by the media receiving financial support from foreign States or organizations. Changes to article 6 of the law «On mass media». Amendments to the status of the media-foreign agents have become a forced response to the oppression of the Russian media in USA and, in particular, the recognition of RT America as a foreign agent.

The Ministry of justice has included in the list of registered as a foreign agent of the nine media, including «Voice of America», Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (PCE/PC), the TV channel «Real Time». Also in the registry were «Idel.Realities», «The Caucasus.Realities», «The Crimea.Realities», the Tatar-Bashkir service of Radio Liberty (Azatliq Orthodox radio of St. Petersburg), «Siberia.Realities», «Pictograph».
