The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the vote in the UN General Assembly demonstrates that almost the entire world condemns the decision of the President of the United States Donald trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

«The United Nations has called illegal the decision of the President of the United States Donald trump on the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. For the resolution voted by 128 States… the Results of the voting in the UN General Assembly show that the whole world has practically condemned attempts by Israel and the United States to unilaterally change the status of Jerusalem,» he wrote on Instagram.

In addition, Kadyrov expressed his opinion that the nine countries that supported the vote of the United States, had no choice because of the threat of a trump «to deny handouts to all who will vote against».

«The trumps» come and go as gone from the White house Nixon, Reagan, senior and Junior Bush, Obama, Clinton, and Jerusalem will always exist as long as there is this world» — added the head of Chechnya.

The UN General Assembly on Thursday adopted a resolution on non-recognition of decisions of the United States on the status of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, during the vote on Thursday voted for the document 128 countries, against — 9, another 35 abstained. According to the document, «any decisions and actions that suggest a change of character, status and demographic composition of the Holy city of Jerusalem have no legal effect, are invalid and must be canceled.» The resolution also «demands that all States» «did not accept any actions or measures which are at odds with the resolutions» of the UN security Council.

On the eve of the meeting, the US President said that Washington will cease to provide financial assistance to countries that support the UN GA resolution on Jerusalem. US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, speaking before the vote, reiterated this position and stated that its outcome will not affect the US decision to move the Embassy to Jerusalem.

In early December, trump announced the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and signed a document about the transfer of the us Embassy there from tel Aviv. The decision of the us leader was well received in Israel and aroused a negative reaction from many countries, primarily countries in the Middle East and Palestine.
