«Rosneft» and AFK «Sistema» signed a settlement agreement

All participants of litigation «Rosneft», «Bashneft», Bashkortostan and JSFC Sistema have signed a settlement agreement, according to «Rosneft».

Conditions agreed to by the Board of Directors of «Bashneft». According to them, AFC agrees to indemnify Bashneft losses in the amount of 100 billion rubles. To attract these funds, the company will help the Russian direct investment Fund and Sberbank. Final payments must be completed before March 30.

«The parties agreed that upon payment in full of the specified amount agree to abandon the mutual complaints,» — said in the message.

The settlement agreement will be forwarded for approval to the court of Arbitration of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The FUND, which actively promoted the conclusion of an agreement, welcomed the resolution of the dispute.

«The compromise reached in the interests of both parties, is a positive signal for the market as a whole and will contribute to the formation of a favorable investment climate in Russia. We are grateful to the parties for their Fund trust during negotiations», — noted in the Fund.

In «Rosneft» settlement agreement believe the best way for the parties to the dispute and for Russian businesses overall, has declared a press-the Secretary of the company Mikhail Leontyev. According to him, additional complaints against «the System» were of a technical nature — to push the Corporation to negotiate.

During the year, «Rosneft» submitted to the AFC two lawsuits totaling more than 300 billion rubles. Most of the assets of the Corporation have been arrested as part of this dispute. The AFC, for its part, demanded from «Rosneft» more than 330 billion rubles. However, she accused the defendants that their goal is to reduce the cost to the Corporation and bringing it to bankruptcy.
