The sensation of rising prices above are valid among Russians due to high inflation expectations and tossed prices for fruit and vegetable products, said the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina.

«We are very long lived in conditions of high inflation, people find it difficult to believe that inflation will be low. Second — all the same people, in contrast to the statistical authorities, no fixed monthly prices. And in their memory there is still a price level that was, say, 2 years ago,» she said in the TV channel «Russia 1».

«And the third — the goods of daily purchases, primarily fruit and vegetable products. There prices during the year is very fluctuating, and people of course notice the price increase more than lower prices, or when prices are growing less,» — said the head of the regulator.

According to the latest projections of the Central Bank, inflation by the end of 2017 will be 2.4-2.6%, in 2018, the regulator expects inflation at 3.5-4%. Two years ago, at the end of 2015, inflation in Russia amounted to 12.9%.
