Over 90 women and children were taken to the territory controlled by Islamic state* (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), said the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the program «week» with Irada Zeynalova on NTV.

«Over the last two years have distributed about one thousand tons of humanitarian aid. They (my men) have always helped… and helped evacuate children, women. In special operations involved. 94 women and children returned. More on the way to 40… days will be taken to Moscow. Will continue to continue,» — said Kadyrov.

He admitted that his wife was crying while watching the video clip about taken people.

«They thank us, Consulate… And the women sang, gathered to Express gratitude for having them back. They have experienced the fear, the horror…» — said Kadyrov.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that «it is necessary to look for them (taken with the former under the control of the IG* — ed.) and not to quit, to conduct a full medical examination, to see how they settle in».

The process of returning women and children from Iraq and Syria began after the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in early August, published in Instagram video shot by RT correspondents in an orphanage in Baghdad and telling of Russian children whose parents have joined the terrorist group ISIS*, took them out of the country, and then abandoned after the liberation of Mosul. Kadyrov expressed the hope that the families of these children recognize them and write to a special address.
