Legislative Assembly of Mexico city approved on Saturday the budget of Mexico for the next year, in which nearly 9 billion pesos (about 0.45 billion) pledged for the restoration of buildings destroyed by powerful earthquakes, the report said Assembly.

Last September in Mexico, there were two powerful earthquakes. According to official data of the authorities, the earthquake on 19 September claimed the lives of 369 people across the country (of which 228 were killed in the capital), more than 100 people became victims of the earthquake of 7 September. Mexican President Enrique peña Nieto has estimated the amount required for restoration from two of the September earthquake, 48 billion pesos (more than $ 2.5 billion).

In the opinion of the deputies of the Assembly of Mexico, the allocated funds along with previously allocated 3.7 billion pesos from Federal funds will be sufficient to carry out reconstruction work.
