The leadership of the Federal Assembly invited December 25 at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the results of the year, said the state Duma.

First Deputy head of the Communist party faction in the lower house of the Russian Parliament Nikolai Kolomeitsev said that the meeting should be attended by the Chairman of the state Duma, the Vice-speakers, heads of fractions and the Duma committees.

The head of the Duma Committee on civil society development issues, public and religious organisations Sergey Gavrilov believes that the meeting will discuss overall issues, the end of the year.

The Chairman of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov called the meeting very important. «We finished the session. And from this point of view, to sum up, the emphasis was put on the future», — told about their expectations from the event, the parliamentarian.

Krasheninnikov also intend at the meeting to talk about what were the difficulties, what remains to be done.

«There are projects that are taken in the first readings and will develop further. For me it is important, of course, Civil code: continuation of modernization of the Civil code,» — said the Deputy.

Vice-speaker of the Federation Council Yevgeny Bushmin also shared the view that the meeting the MPs will inform the President about the outcome of legislative work for the year.

«As for the plans of legislative activity in 2018, if the President so desires, we will discuss this issue», — said the Senator.

Later the first Deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko confirmed this information, saying that Putin plans on Monday with the leadership of Parliament to discuss the outcome of legislative activity in 2017 and legislative plans for the next year.
