Launch of first national satellite of Angola’s AngoSat-1 (Angosat — 1) on the carrier rocket «Zenit-3F» with the upper stage «Fregat» is scheduled for 26 December from the Baikonur cosmodrome, told RIA Novosti the representative of Roscosmos.

«The launch is scheduled at 22.00 MSK,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

As explained in the RSC «Energia», it is planned that the head outer part (sweep) in the upper stage Fregat and the satellite AngoSat-1 separated from the second stage of the carrier rocket «Zenit-3F» 22.08 GMT. The separation of the spacecraft from the «booster» is expected at 6.55 GMT and exit «Angosat» in orbit — at 9.23 GMT 27 Dec.

Angosat will provide broadcasting on frequency C — and Ku-bands to the territory of the Republic of Angola, as well as on the entire African continent. The angosat project envisages the creation of a communication satellite with transponder, launch it to geostationary orbit and a ground infrastructure of communications and television broadcasting.

The contract on creation «Angosat» between RSC Energia and the Ministry of telecommunications and information technologies of Angola was signed in 2009, but because he joined only in 2013.

Earlier it was reported that the launch of «Zenit» from Baikonur postponed from 7 to 26 December due to detected problems with one of the valves in the pipeline of fuel the upper stage «Fregat». The fault was eliminated.

In addition, the state Commission is continuing its investigation of the crash of the upper stage «Fregat» with the launch from the new Vostochny cosmodrome, also did not cancel the launch of «Zenit» development of Ukrainian «Yuzhnoye.

Despite the fact that on November 28, the staff derived at the intermediate orbit by the rocket «Soyuz-2.1 b» upper stage «Fregat» with 19 spacecraft crashed and fell into the Atlantic, the start of «Zenit» from Baikonur, with the same «booster» after all, it was decided to hold the 26th of December.

«No, not canceled 26 August start», — said the first Deputy Director of Roscosmos Alexander Ivanov.

He said that the accident of the booster «Frigate» when you start from the East happened in coincidence to the many unique conditions: the geographical coordinates of the launch pad, the difference in the way of counting the azimuth for the rocket «Soyuz» and the upper stage Fregat and orbit, which had to deliver the «meteor-M» — it was assumed that the meteorological Department first and find yourself on a sun-synchronous orbit altitude of about 800 km and inclination to 98.8°.
