Russia is extremely disappointed with the information that the United States has issued a licence to one company for the supply of Ukraine’s large-caliber sniper rifles is the path to war, not for peace, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, state Secretary, Deputy foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.

Earlier, the representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova reported that Washington has licensed his unnamed manufacturer to supply weapons to Kiev large-caliber sniper rifle Barrett M107A1.

«We have been disappointing, recent information on extradition by the US authorities of a license to one of its arms manufacturers to supply Kiev large-caliber sniper rifles,» — said Karasin.

«That’s the way the Washington «hawks» are trying as they believe, to raise for Russia the «price of the conflict in the Donbas.» This is a very flawed and dangerous logic. It leads to war, not peace,» he added.
