Three citizens of the Arab Emirates have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 7 to 15 years for espionage in favor of Iran, the newspaper reports Gulf News.

The Supreme Appellate court of Abu Dhabi ruled that the 28-year-old Emirati military passed information to Iranian agents, who worked in the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

In addition, the court sentenced the woman from Sudan, to 10 years in prison and subsequent deportation for helping the convicted Emirate citizen in the transmission of information to Iranian agents.
