From the side of the first Angolan satellite angosat ceased to flow telemetry, reported RIA Novosti source in the space industry.

«The upper stage «Fregat» with the Angolan satellite staff contacted after the first round in Earth orbit, all systems worked normally, but later the connection was lost and the telemetry stopped,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

The carrier rocket «Zenit-3F» with the upper stage «Fregat» was launched from Baikonur launch site the evening before. Earlier it was reported that it put into orbit a satellite AngoSat-1 that was supposed to provide broadcasting on the territory of Angola and the entire African continent.

After the release of «Frigate» from the radio shadow with them was a successful session. Telemetry from the upper stage was received. To contact «Frigate» would only being in direct radio visibility from the Russian territory.

Angosat was launched into orbit by the rocket «Zenit», which was launched from Baikonur cosmodrome at 22: 00 on 26 December. After eight minutes the regular flight of the rocket has separated the upper stage «Fregat», which was duivel the satellite into the proper orbit at 6.55 GMT 27 Dec.

The contract on creation «Angosat» between RSC Energia and the Ministry of telecommunications and information technologies of the Republic of Angola was signed in 2009, but entered into force only in 2013. To implement this project was organized international cooperation, solved the problem of import substitution of electronic components for the service platform of the spacecraft.
