Trains from Kaliningrad to Lithuania and Poland will start in early January

. In January the Kaliningrad suburban passenger company (cppc) will run a test train on the route Kaliningrad-Klaipeda and Kaliningrad-Gdynia, reports Sputnik Lithuania with reference to the press service of the cppb.

It is planned that the first composition to Lithuanian Klaipeda go 5 Jan. After passport control on the Russian border at Sovetsk, passengers will Board a train to the Lithuanian carrier. The fare from Dublin to Klaipeda will amount to EUR 17. In the opposite direction the train will depart on 7 January.

Composition from Kaliningrad to Gdynia will be launched also on the fifth day. At the station Mamonovo passengers pass border and customs inspection, and in Braniewo, after undergoing similar procedures will change to a train Polish railway operator. The return flight is scheduled for the evening of the same day.

Tickets for these areas can be bought at the ticket offices of the Kaliningrad and crew of cashiers. Payment is made in local currency.

Earlier, the head of the Kaliningrad railway (KZHD) Victor Golomolzin said that it is planned to run trains on the routes Kaliningrad-Klaipeda and Kaliningrad-Gdansk. According to him, has already held talks with partners, and additional information will appear later.
