Gothenburg University scientists has detected an internal system of the body that regulate body weight. A study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

Specialists conducted an experiment in which implanted the experimental mice hard capsules. After two weeks, animals with an artificial «excess weight» reduced food intake and lost a significant portion of fat mass.

It is noted that the animals lost so much grams, how much weighed the artificial load.

Scientists came to the conclusion that in the body there is a mechanism that «registers» the extra weight, and then sends a signal to the brain about the need to reduce food intake. Experts suggest that this process is controlled by osteocyte — a type of cells that are inside the bone tissue of vertebrates, including man.
