People’s militia of Iraq have found large stockpiles of weapons and ammunition to the South-East of the liberated city of al-Hawija of Kirkuk in Northern Iraq after more than two months after the liberation of the city from the terrorist group «Islamic state*», reported on the official website of the militia.

According to militia, the soldiers found the weapons during an operation in search of militants in the areas near al-Hawija.

«The forces of the sixteenth brigade of the people’s militia found today during operations in search of rebels large supplies of arms and ammunition in the districts of Aragon and El-Marra district of al-Rashad district of al-Hawija Kirkuk», — said the representative of the militia.
