The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a congratulation on the coming New year the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and noted that in the past year managed to significantly move forward the development of bilateral cooperation, said on Saturday the press service of the Kremlin.

In greeting the Russian President stressed that «in the past year not only managed to fully restore the Russian-Turkish relations, but also significantly advance the development of bilateral cooperation in several areas».

«The close cooperation between our countries allowed us to put a reliable barrier to the further spread of the terrorist threat in the middle East and to create conditions for launching the political process of settlement of the Syrian conflict», – stated in the message.

Putin also confirmed his readiness to continue constructive dialogue, active joint work on all issues of bilateral, regional and international agenda.
