The head of the Moscow journalists Union, chief editor of «Moskovsky Komsomolets» Pavel Gusev, who became one of the Trustees of the incumbent President of Russia Vladimir Putin, said he intends this as not only to agitate for the candidate, which is, but to convey to him the relevant public and social issues.

Earlier the co-Chairman of Putin’s election headquarters Elena Shmeleva said that the Trustees of Putin will be around 500 people. According to Russian legislation, a candidate may appoint up to 600 agents. In the list of Trustees in particular included: Alexander Maslyakov, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Margarita Simonyan, Vladimir urin, Vladimir Khotinenko, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Karen Shakhnazarov, Mikhail Shmakov, Leonid Yakubovich, Anatoliy Kucherena, Sergey Kogogin, Filipp Kirkorov, Lev Leshchenko, Diana Gurtskaya, Pavel Gusev, Yevgeny Poddubny.

«My goal is first, their activity of the journalist contribute to give information about the activities of the President, plus performing at various meetings in front of people, to try to clarify difficult points. But there is another important moment for me: at those meetings, where will be present the President and his aides… to talk about the problems that exist today in society. There are problems with civil society, journalists, there are problems with freedom of speech, with frames that exist today at various levels. These problems I would also like to put today to the next period, the President was able to somehow solve,»- said Gusev, RIA Novosti.

He noted that he had been a confidant of Putin.

«In this campaign, I also in the presidential administration suggested to think, am I ready to take on this responsibility. I said Yes. I believe that in this difficult moment in General, and in the world, and in the country, need the support of the President. Other candidates I for one do not like», — said the Agency interlocutor.

The Russian presidential election will be held on March 18, the election campaign officially started on 18 December 2017. Putin goes on elections as the independent candidate.
