The Kiev authorities will not be able to restrain the visits of foreigners in the Crimea, and their policy, they will make only less visited Ukraine, told RIA Novosti the head of the Crimean public chamber Grigory Ioffe.

Earlier, the State border service of Ukraine reported that last year was banned in the country entry one and a half thousand foreigners from visiting Crimea. According to the border guards, since the beginning of 2018 already identified more than 30 people who visited the Crimea violating the Ukrainian legislation.

Ioffe stressed that the Ukrainian authorities only pretend that they are fighting for the transition of the Crimea under jurisdiction of Ukraine, knowing that this will never happen. «To deter the visits of foreigners in the Crimea will not succeed. They (Kyiv authorities – as amended) will be able to make only less visited Ukraine. It can reach serious problems», — told RIA Novosti Ioffe.

According to him, the ruling regime in Ukraine is exacerbated by the «psychological» perception of the crisis in the Crimean region.

«Crimea has the capacity to accept people from different directions. Not converged pebble only from the Ukrainian side. Soon to be completed bridge across the Kerch Strait, is convinced that will end the story associated with sanctions in the Maritime sector,» said Joffe.

Crimea became a Russian region after held there in March 2014 referendum in which 96.77% of voters of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of residents of Sevastopol voted for joining Russian Federation. Crimean authorities held a referendum after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014.

Ukraine still considers Crimea its but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to Putin, the Crimea issue «is closed permanently.»
