The American amphibious assault ship «Wasp» (Wasp-class) entered port Sasebo U.S. base in the Japanese Prefecture of Nagasaki, reports broadcaster NHK.

The ship is capable of place the newest fighter F-35B and Osprey convertiplane cargo. Its length is 250 meters, in addition to 1100 crew members, the ship can accommodate up to 1600 Marines.

The prospect of placing a ship in Japan have caused concern North Korea, which sees this as a hidden threat to the landing of American troops on its shores.
