The US President Donald trump has made every effort to undermine the nuclear agreement with Iran, but his attempts were not successful, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald trump said that in recent times extended the regime of sanctions relief in the framework of the «nuclear agreement» with Iran and demanded from the European Union to participate in the correction agreement, noting that now is the last chance to make changes. In addition, trump called Iran the main sponsor of terrorism and declared intention to legislate severe sanctions for the development and testing of Iran’s ballistic missiles.

«Mr. trump has made every effort during the year before his election, during the election campaign, in order to undermine a nuclear deal with Iran. However, it did not work,» said Rouhani. The broadcast of the speech of the leader led channel Press TV.

The Iranian President added that the failure by trump to derail the deal proves «the success of international agreements.» «This means that international agreements are successful. This means that the law prevailed over dictatorship. The Americans were unable to impose their will,… to neglect public opinion,» Rouhani concluded.

Earlier the Iranian foreign Ministry said that Tehran will take action and «will respond appropriately to the hostile actions of the United States.»

According to the Agency IRNA, Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani, in turn, stressed that the Iranian Parliament will never accept any amendments to the transaction of 2015. «Statements by the President of the United States Donald trump about the changes in the Iranian nuclear deal is tantamount to the complete destruction of this agreement,» the Agency quoted Larijani.
