Members of the party of environmentalists Ecolo in the administrative Council of the Belgian city of Mons has offered to put on the compost the ashes of deceased residents.

A proposal will be made «green» for consideration by the city administration on Monday evening, told the broadcaster RTBF.

She cites studies according to which 12 months the body of a deceased person transformered into environmentally friendly compost.

Environmentalists want the Mons became the city implement a pilot project on the use of human humus when planting one of the parks. «Green» does not exclude the possibility of obtaining compost by individuals for use in private possession when planting plants or trees in memory of the deceased», — stated in the message.

About how it is proposed to humus from the human ash is not reported.

In Belgium, the bodies of the dead are burial or cremation.
