Israeli airliner made an emergency landing on the way from new York to tel Aviv, hundreds of passengers spent 12 hours in the snowy canadian air force base before they were flying back the plane, transmits the Second channel of Israel.

To stop the mission and look for the nearest airfield to the crew of the Boeing-747 had less than two hours after takeoff due to an activated signal on ignition in the chassis.

«Hundreds of surprised passengers were forced to stay in the plane. On the tarmac to get to them was forbidden due to the severe frost that reached minus 30 degrees,» reports the Second channel.

The airfield where the aircraft landed, was base for the canadian air force «goose Bay», where there is the necessary infrastructure to receive and accommodate such number of passengers.

The tenth of Israel TV channel reports that the crew tried to troubleshoot on their own. When this failed, the «goose Bay» was sent a backup plane, which should deliver passengers to tel Aviv.

According to the site www.flightradar24.com flight not yet departed from «goose Bay». According to the electronic scoreboard at tel Aviv airport named after David Ben-Gurion, his arrival is expected at 10.00 local time (11.00 GMT).
