The situation in the middle East and Ukraine, as well as the development of Eurasian integration were the main topics of international politics in 2017, says Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

«About stories, of course, is Syria. It’s such a problem, which converge very many interests of so many players,» — said Lavrov on the question of journalists, what are the key topics he would include in the conditional dictionary of 2017.

As for the positive trends of last year, Lavrov said «the development of Eurasian integration, implementation of large Eurasian project with the participation of the EurAsEC, the Shanghai cooperation organization, ASEAN, the openness of the project for new members in the East and in the West.»

«We need to talk about the integration process more broadly, in the Asia-Pacific region, the APEC activities, the activities of the group of twenty, BRICS activities. This Association, which embodied the trends of the modern world, namely the objective formation of a polycentric system of international relations», — said the head of the foreign Ministry.
